Pioneering the Industrialization of Space

Final Frontier builds satellites and satellite terminals, starting from the RF chips inside them, and delivers intelligent Earth observation services.

COMPANY OVERVIEW

Who We Are

Founded in Beijing in 2017, Final Frontier is a commercial space company focused on low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite internet, with a chip-based, software-defined technology approach. Its products and services span computing satellites that integrate communications and remote sensing, satellite terminals, and the IBRS (Intent-Based Remote Sensing) data service, which work together as a single business.

OUR VISION

Space technology that benefits more people.

OUR MISSION

Ushering Low Earth Orbit Satellites into the Era of Computing Satellites.

The satellites are based on an in-house computing satellite platform that combines chip-based design with a software-defined architecture. They bring communications, remote sensing, computing and networking together with intelligent capabilities in a single satellite, and support over-the-air (OTA) software updates and flexible reconfiguration of functions in orbit. Moving data processing and intelligent decision-making onboard lets the satellites compute and handle tasks independently, improving mission efficiency and operational autonomy. Final Frontier also provides satellite communication terminals that work with the satellites' communication systems, forming a product portfolio that covers both the space and user segments of satellite communications.

IBRS runs on these satellites and is driven by user intent. Users give instructions in plain language, and the service plans the observation, captures the imagery and applies intelligent processing in orbit, then directly generates and downlinks high-value information products. IBRS moves remote sensing services from the traditional "collect in space, process on the ground" model to "collect and process in space," upgrading delivery from images to information. It cuts information delivery time from days to minutes, providing timely, efficient information support for disaster response, maritime monitoring, resource surveys and other scenarios.

Final Frontier is committed to moving commercial satellites from traditional custom development to standardized, industrialized, large-scale manufacturing, improving production efficiency and lowering the cost of building and deploying satellites. The company also continues to expand the practical value of software-defined design and in-orbit intelligent computing, developing its satellite products and data services together while exploring a commercial path from satellite manufacturing to space information services.
